Absolutely! This is a prime age for capturing those precious early smiles. While classic sleepy newborn poses may not be guaranteed, we can still create beautiful portraits using props, hats, and comfortable positions for your little one. Even if your baby stays awake for most of the session, I’m prepared to capture those bright eyes and playful moments! Plus, who knows, maybe we’ll catch them drifting off for a dream shot. For the highest quality, we specialize in studio sessions. Here’s why:

  • Perfect Environment: Controlled lighting, temperature, and sound ensure stunning posed portraits.
  • Relax & Enjoy: No need to clean or rearrange furniture, heat your home, or worry about props.
  • Professional Lighting: Our large studio light creates consistent, gorgeous results, unlike unpredictable natural light.
  • Comforts & Convenience: Enjoy a cozy, clean environment with snacks, while we handle everything.
Absolutely! We offer flexible rescheduling (within 4 weeks) for weather or illness at no extra charge. However, please avoid bringing a sick child to the session.
No, there’s no limit on participants (except couples/seniors/individuals). You pay for our time and editing, regardless of the number of people (around 40 edited images for families). However, more people may require more posed shots.
We prefer longer sessions to get to know your family and capture relaxed, candid moments, avoiding the stress of rushed sessions.
While we specialize in portrait sessions, we love attending events!
Yes! Cake smashes are included in our one-year session, with a dedicated messy backdrop. You provide the cake (consider Harris Teeter’s free smash cakes!). Preparing for your Sessions
Comfort and style go hand-in-hand! Choose outfits that reflect your personalities and avoid matchy-matchy looks. Formal or casual? It’s up to you! We’ll tailor the session vibe to your attire. Wrinkle-resistant fabrics are ideal, as ironing fees may apply for extensive editing.

Neutrals and earth tones photograph beautifully, but feel free to experiment with a few coordinating colors. Black can be slimming, and colors that complement your eyes can enhance their sparkle!

Don’t forget the finishing touches:

  • Shoes can make or break an outfit, so choose wisely.
  • Smiles are the best accessory – brush those pearly whites beforehand!
Keep little ones happy with snacks. Bring your child’s cherished stuffed animals or toys for sentimental photos. For outdoor sessions, bug spray is recommended.

Relaxation is key! Children pick up on stress, even newborns. Consider it a fun family outing! Embrace silliness – laughter is contagious and leads to genuine smiles. Skip the “cheese” prompts – we’ll capture natural smiles that radiate joy. Knowing your children’s interests (toys, shows, hobbies) helps me connect with them during the session. Please let me know about any physical limitations or behavioral characteristics to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.

Our goal isn’t forced perfection, but capturing the essence of your family right now. These photos will become cherished stories for you and future generations.

Yes, and highly recommended! These photos, especially with parents and siblings, become even more precious as your baby grows. We typically spend 15-20 minutes capturing these special moments at the beginning of the session, allowing you to relax afterward.

Yes! I have a vast collection of over 100 newborn hats (always expanding!), along with hundreds of props, blankets, wraps, and hair ties. Before purchasing anything, check with me to avoid duplicates!
